Victor is a Florida-based dog trainer with a deep, ongoing passion for understanding how dogs think, learn, and communicate. Over 9 years of hands-on work with dogs of every breed, age, and background — from puppies to rescues to working dogs with serious behavioral histories — he has developed a training approach built on fairness, clarity, and respect for the animal in front of him.
SoFlo K9 Connections serves clients across all of South Florida, from Palm Beach down through Broward and into Miami-Dade. Whether you're in a high-rise downtown or on a few acres out west, the training meets you where you live and gets results in the environments your dog actually exists in.
A note on balanced training. Balanced training simply means using the full range of communication tools available to a dog — clear rewards for the right choices, and clear, fair consequences for the wrong ones. It is not harsh, it is not punishment-based, and it is not the opposite of positive reinforcement. It includes positive reinforcement, alongside the structure and accountability that dogs naturally understand. Purely positive methods often fail with serious behavioral cases. Purely compulsion-based methods damage the relationship. Balanced training, done well, gives you a confident, happy dog that listens because it understands — not because it's bribed and not because it's afraid.

I'm so lucky I found Victor! I have a GSD puppy with HIGH DRIVE and was struggling with basic obedience, bite inhibition and reactivity. Victor is an amazing trainer. We began with him when we got our 8-week-old female black lab. We mastered the basics immediately. Our big wins were off-leash training (come) and stopping our dog from jumping on visitors. We also use Victor for boarding — our girl does great while we're gone!!
